Services Wednesday For Mrs. M. Thrasher

Graveside services were held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in the Cambridge cemetery for Mrs. Merle Thrasher, with Rev. Peder Buland of Cambridge in charge.

Mrs. Merle Ryan Thrasher, daughter of Daniel and Clementine Ryan, was born in Cambridge and died at Los Angeles, Calif., on Jan. 6, 1951, having reached the age of 70 years. The body was flown to Iowa for burial.

She spent her girlhood in Cambridge, later moving to Grinnell and Mt. Pleasant. In 1936 she moved to Los Angeles where she had since resided.

Surviving are three daughters, Doris Reece, Marcia Cook and Mary Evans, all of Los Angeles; two brothers, Orval Ryan of Des Moines and William Ryan of Indianola; three sisters, Velva Boyle of Ames, Tessa Hanson of New Sharon and Blanche Manglos of Kalamazoo, Mich., as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Her father, mother and two brothers preceded her in death.
