Funeral Services Held in Indianola For William Ryan

Funeral services for William F. Ryan of Indianola, Iowa, a former Cambridge resident were held Friday afternoon, May 17, 1963 at the Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with the Rev. Robert L. Burnett officiating.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Robert K. Conner.

Casket bearers were Earl Anderson, Lloyd Case, Clarence Heskett, Otto Reetz, Lyle Stewart and Lloyd Patten.

Burial was in the Cambridge cemetery.

William F. Ryan, son of Daniel and Clementine Ryan was born at Cambridge, Iowa on June 28, 1891 and passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on May 15, 1963.

He grew to manhood in Cambridge where he attended school and made many friends. He was a veteran of World War I.

In April 1936 he was married to Ora Wiley of Indianola, where they made their home.

Surviving are his wife, Ora, three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Manglos of Plainwell, Michigan; Mrs. Velva Boyle of Reseda, California and Mrs. Tesse Hanson of Ames besides many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Merle Thrasher [should be Mrs. Harriet Muriel Thrasher] and three brothers, Orval, Orrie and Wilbur Ryan.
