JOHN THORSBAKKEN IS DEAD AT STORY CITY.

Story City—John Thorsbakken 66, resident of this place for 40 years, died Wednesday afternoon following a stroke of apoplexy at the home of Mrs. Sam Olson where he resided.

Born in Norway, Mr Thorsbakken came to he United States in 1892 and had resided since that time in Story City except for a short time spent in Forest City.

Funeral services will be conducted from St. Petri Lutheran church here Friday afternoon by the Rev. W.B. Scarvie and burial will be in the Story City cemetery by the side of his wife, who died several years ago.

Mr. Thorsbakken is survived by seven children, Mrs. Inger Anderson of Des MOines, Mrs. Clara Anderson of Randall, Leonard of Fort Dodge, Martin of California,

Anna of Nevada, Mrs. Beatrice Nelson of Ellsworth and Mrs. Esther Haatvedt of Fort Dodge. Five brothers, Ole, Johan and Anders of Story City, Marrus of Lake Crystal Minn., and Evan in Norway also survive.
