OBITUARY

Mrs. V. L. Booher.

Mary Della Andrews was born August 4, 1865 at Pearl City, Stevenson county, Illinois. Her family moved to Hamilton county, Iowa, in 1873 and to Story county in 1874, where she has since lived till March, 1910 when she with her husband and the younger children moved to St. James, Minnesota. She was married December 4, 1881 to Vitus L. Booher. Ten children were born to them six boys and four girls. Two girls died in infancy. The living are Frank, Oscar, Marion, Matilda, Howard, Winnie, Cora and Charles. All are at the home in St. James, or in Nevada, excepting Oscar, who lived in Euclid, Minnesota. She also leaves four brothers and three sisters. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church in Nevada and had never transferred her membership elsewhere. She was a good christian woman, a loving wife and mother and a kind neighbor, who was anxious to do what she could for those around her. She will be sadly missed and mourned, especially in the home circle. She died in the hospital at Mankato, Minnesota February 20, 191 following an operation for severe complications. Members of the family, excepting Oscar, were all present at the funeral, as was also her brother, John Andrews of Nevada, and her sister Mrs. A. R. Norton, and husband of Ravena, Nebraska. Services were conducted by Rev. B. F. Shoemaker at the Church of Christ in Nevada, at ten o'clock Thursday and were largely attended. The family express gratitude for kindnesses which have mitigated their severe trial. Mr. Booher and the younger children will return Saturday to their home at St. James.
