Lars Raymond, 68, Dies at Home in Story City Mon.

Lars Raymond, age 68, died of a heart attack at 7 a.m. this morning in his home northwest of Story City.

Services are set Wednesday, November 28 at 2 p.m. at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City with the Rev. Quentin Quanbeck officiating. Burial will be in the Roland Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by the Larson Funeral Home in Story City.

Surviving Raymond is his wife, Emma, two sons, Eugene of Roland and Virgil of Story City; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. I. T. (Lizzie) Sande of Story City and Mrs. Arthur (Susan) Goodmanson also of Story City. He is also survived by one brother, Lewis of Oregon.

Services For Lars Raymond Held In Story City Nov. 28

Funeral services for Lars J. Raymond were held Wednesday, November 28 at 2 p.m. in the St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City. Pastor Quentin G. Quanback of Bethel Lutheran Church officiated.

Mrs. Home Olson and Mrs. Raymond Romsey were vocalists. Accompanist was Portia Quam.

Burial was in the Roland cemetery. Pallbearers were: Louie Sinn, Tony Sparboe, Truman Egemo, Fred Hendrickson, Theroy Jacobson and Lars Kalvik.

Obituary

Lars John Raymond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Raymond was born at Roland, August 14, 1894. He died in his home, west of Story City, Monday, November 26 after suffering a heart attack, at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 12 days.

He was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church in Roland, and confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church of Radcliffe. He was an active member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City.

On February 14, 1918 he was united in marriage to Emma Valen. To this union were born five children. He lived his entire life in the communities of Roland, Randall and Story City and was engaged in farming.
