Robert Campbell Dies in Hospital; Services Thursday

Robert J. Campbell, 76, lifetime resident of the Nevada community, died at 1:25 a.m. today at the Story County Hospital in Nevada. He had been seriously ill the past three weeks. He had been in failing health the past year.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank P. Hladky officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.

Campbell was born in Milford township August 21, 1886, the son of Charles E. and Nina Campbell. He lived all of his life in Nevada and was building contractor by trade,

Campbell was united in marriage to Ethel Frink on February 2, 1905 who preceded him in death September 30, 1938. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

On November 25, 1939 he was united in marriage to Thelma Connolly in Nevada. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church where he held office as trustee. He also was a member of the I.O.O.F. and Lions Club. At one time he held public office of city councilman.
