Funeral Services Wed. Afternoon For C. L. Vail, 69

Funeral services for C. L. Vail, 69, who died of a heart attack at his home on Route 1, will be at the Ryan Funeral Home Wednesday, May 23, at 2 p. m.

The Rev. James Dendler will officiate and burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Vail, a retired farmer, had lived in Story County for the past 60 years.

He was born Dec. 10, 1892, in Bureau County, Ill., the son of Edward F. and Mary Huldah Vail. He was married to Florence Smith May 24, 1944 in Marshalltown. Vail was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Nevada Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; three brothers, Howard O. Vail of Sioux Rapids and Allen and Frank Vail both of Nevada. He is survived also by five stepchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
