Rites Today For Mrs. Elmer Smay died Saturday, May 19, at the Eastern Star Home in Boone.

Hattie Estella Crippen was born Oct. 28, 1872, at Cascade. She was married to Elmer E. Smay July 11, 1891 at LeGrand. She had lived since in Nevada until September 1960, when she became a resident of the O.E.S. Home at Boone. Mrs. Smay was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A. W. (Alice) Rudnick of Ames and Miss Venus Smay of Flint, Mich.; a son, Joseph E. Smay of Norman, Okla.; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a. m. Monday in the Chapel in the Eastern Star Home with burial in the Nevada cemetery.
