Obituaries

O. Wayne Bierma

O. Wayne Bierma, 80, of Aurora, Colo., and Apache Junction, Ariz., died May 17 at Aurora Regional Medical Center, Aurora, Colo.

He was born in Truro. He graduated from Simpson College in Indianola. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Ocean on LST 582. He worked as an insurance agent in Nevada until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, 40 and 8 and the Lion's Club. He served on the Nevada City Council.

Survivors include his daughter, Betty Taylor of Aurota, Colo., and his grandchildren, Scott Taylor of Ft. Collins, Colo., Doug Taylor of Duluth, Minn., and Lisa and Steven Farley of Aurora, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah Bierma.

Memorial services will be held May 28 at Aurora First Presbyterian Church, Aurora, Colo.
