Former Resident of Nevada Dies Today At Madrid, Iowa

Wendell R. Phillips, 506 State Street, Madrid former Nevada resident, died this morning at 8:05 at his home of Leukemia from which he had suffered the past three years.

Born May 25, 1895 at Peterson, Ia., son of Herbert and Luella Phillips, he had been a resident of Nevada for 28 years. He was a resident of Madrid the past five years.

December 16, 1916 he was married to Grace Arnett who preceded him in death.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Luella Phillips of Laurens, a., one son, Rollen L. Phillips of Ames and four grandchildren. He also leaves four brothers, Lloyd and Bert Phillips of Lincoln, Neb. and Harold Phillips of Rembrandt, Ia., and three sisters, Mrs. Zella Higgins of Tiller, Oregon, Mrs. Hazel McBride of Laurens and Mrs. Elvira Johnson of Spencer.

The body is at the Ryan Funeral Home where funeral services are pending.
