Mrs. Emma Neely Laid To Rest In Knoxville Cem.

Mr. and Mrs. Knute Stensland, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kinsey of Nevada and Mrs. Evelyn Rhoads and Maxine Rhoads of Ames were in Knoxville Thursday attending the funeral of Mrs. Emma Neely, sister of Mrs. Stensland and Mrs. Evelyn Rhoads [should be Mrs. Eveline Rhoades.]

Emma Josephine Edwinson, daughter of Ole and Bertha Rasmussen Edwinson was born in Roland. Her death occurred in St. Mary's Hospital, North Platte, Neb., Jan. 2, 1960.

On Feb. 25, 1902, she was united in marriage to Algern Nelson Neely of Knoxville, Iowa. To this union were two sons and three daughters. Surviving children are Anna Malvina Neely of Knoxville, Bertha Aileen Neely and Mrs. Harold Carpenter of Knoxville, and one son, Robert Daniel Neely, North Platte, Neb.

Preceding her in death was one son, Henry Edward Neely on Sept. 12, 1959 and her husband on Aug. 14, 1919.

Also surviving her are two granddaughters, Judith Annette and Karen Elaine Carpenter, Knoxville, a son-in-law, Harold Carpenter, Knoxville and six sisters, Mrs. Isabel Oglevie, Carmichall, Calif.; Mrs. Birdie Crain, Montevideo, Minn.; Mrs. Knute Stensland, Nevada; Mrs. Sena Rosing, Ames, Iowa; Mrs. Mabel Winders, Marshalltown and Mrs. Evelina Rhoades, Ames, and 26 niece and nephews.

Services were held at Evans' Arlington Chapel, Knoxville, Jan. 28, 1960 with interment in the family plot in Graceland Cemetery [in Knoxville, Iowa.]
