MRS. W. T. NORRIS CALLED BY DEATH

HAD LIVED IN OR NEAR NEVADA NEARLY ALL OF HER LIFE.

Mrs. Will T. Norris died at her home on First street Saturday morning at 1:15, the cause of death being diabetes and other complications from which she had been a sufferer for some time.

The funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 3:00, the sermon being preached by Rev. A. V. Hart. Prayer was offered by her old neighbor and very close friend, Mrs. Flora V. Dorcas.

The songs were by members of the choir of the Christian church and the pall bearers were from among the men of the immediate neighborhood.

Her one sister, Mrs. J. V. Harding, and daughter Miss Francis of Denison, her brothers, George Reagan and wife of Aredale, and Grover C. and family of Cambridge, sister-in-law, Mrs. Bell Dawson of Des Moines, brother-in-law, C. V. Norris and wife of Ames and other relatives from a distance were present at the funeral. The house was filled with relatives, friends and neighbors and floral offerings were many and beautiful.

The following obituary of the deceased was read by the pastor:

Bell Reagan was born Jan. 8, 1877, at Rhodes, Iowa. She grew to young womanhood in this and adjoining counties. She was married in 1893 to Will T. Norris and to this union was born an only daughter, Mrs. Geo. R. Post, with whom she had made her home since the very sudden death of her husband just two years ago. The only time she had lived out of Nevada was the few months she had spent with her daughter at Clear Lake, Ia. Realizing the failing health of their mother and with the hope of bringing back her former health they brought her back to her old home and former associates. For a time she seemed to respond to the old surroundings, but after a while it seemed only to intensify the loss of her mate and constant companion. About six weeks ago the ravages of the dreaded disease diabetes seemed to take hold of her and she failed very rapidly until life slowly and gently ebbed away October 24th, 1925, at the hour of 1:15 a. m.

Our dear departed on was a kind and loving wife, wonderful mother and kind neighbor, never failing to arise to the occasion when duty called her no matter how self-sacrificing it might be. The loss of this loved one is mourned by a host of friends and relatives. She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Geo. R. Post, a beloved granddaughter, Eva L. Post who was the nucleus of her thoughts and deeds. She is also survived by a sister and three brothers, Mrs. J. V. Harding, Denison, Iowa, A. G. Reagan of Aredale, Iowa, John Reagan of Nevada and G. C. Reagan of Cambridge, all of whom were at her bedside when the Great Reaper called. One sister and two brothers as well as her father and mother preceded her in death several years ago. There are also numerous nieces and nephews. Her last hours of suffering were greatly relieved by one of her nieces, a most competent nurse who happened to stop here for a few hours on her way home from Iowa City where she had been specializing in some of her work.
