DUNAHOO FUNERAL SATURDAY

Former Indian Creek Resident Passed Away at Blairsburg.

Maxwell, Oct. 14--Funeral services for William S. Dunahoo, 73, former Story county man, who died Wednesday, October 7, at his home in Blairsburg, were held Saturday, October 10, at 11 o'clock, at the Evangelical church in Iowa Center and interment was in Evergreen cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Charles Pickford of Hubbard, former pastor of the deceased, assisted by Rev. J. L. Arnold, now pastor at Iowa Center.

William Samuel Dunahoo, eldest son of John and Rachel Dunahoo, was born in Marion County, Indiana, July 31st, 1852, and departed this life October 7th, 1925, at his home in Blairsburg, Iowa, at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 7 days.

At the age of three years he removed with his parents to Story County, Iowa, where he resided until the year 1921. In that year he removed to Blairsburg, Ia., where he resided until his death.

On September 14th, 1881 he was united in marriage to Miss Louisa Goodnow. To this union was born three children: Mrs. Nellie Ayers and Mrs. Margaret McNee of Blairsburg, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Kurtz of Redelm, South Dakota.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, his three children, six grandchildren, two brothers, M. R. Dunahoo and J. R. Dunahoo of Maxwell, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Whitinger of Noblesville, Indiana, besides a host of friends who will miss his cheery smile and kind words. In 1893, at Iowa Center, Iowa, he became a christian, and affiliated with the Evangelical Church of which he was a true and faithful member. Upon removing to Blairsburg, Iowa, he united with Congregational Church and remained a faithful member of the same unto the end of life.
