OBITUARY OF MILO F. APPLEGATE.

Milo Franklin Appelgate was a native of Bureau county, Ill., his birth having occurred June 19th, 1852. He came to Iowa with his parents, Lewis and Louisa Appelgate the year 1855 and made their home on the old homestead south of Nevada for a number of years.

January 26, 1876 he was united marriage to Mary A. Lewis who preceded him in death June 28, 1920. To this union 3 children were born Hubert L., Mrs. Guy Atkinson and Mrs. L. E. Appelgate all of whom survive the father, besides these there are 4 grandchildren, two brothers L. D. and L. M. Appelgate of Nevada, one sister Mrs. Bert Hempstead of Pasadena, Cal., also other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the family home 2 mile south and east of Nevada. Dr. R. M. Shipman was in charge and interment was in the Nevada cemetery beside his wife.
