AGED NEVADA WOMAN IS CALLED BY DEATH
MRS. BELLESFIELD PASSED AWAY SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT DAUGHTER'S HOME.
Mrs. Hannah Bellesfield, 80, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Hinshaw in Des Moines Saturday. The boy was brought to Nevada Sunday afternoon and interred in the Nevada cemetery after services held at the Latter Day Saints church at 4:00.
She leaves to mourn the loss of their mother, Will Stiegelmeier of Worthington, Minn., Margaret Hileman of Waterloo, Amanda Hinshaw of Des Moines; Lew Stiegelmeier of Phoenix, Arizona, also 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Hannah Sophronia Pierce was born May 23, 1845 in Sandusky, Ohio, where she spent her early childhood. In later years she moved with her parents to Iowa City, Iowa.
She was married to Henry Stiegelmeier of Benton county, Iowa on February 29, 1964. To this union 12 children were born, 7 of which have passed on. Their father died 41 years ago, March 30. On January 30, 1895 she was married to Porter J. Bellesfield at Marshalltown, Iowa. He also preceded her in death in March, 1906.
When a young woman she unite with the Evangelical church. Later transferring her faith to the Latter Day Saints church, of which she was a devoted member until her death, June 20, 1925, at the age of 80 years and 27 days.
