OBITUARY OF MRS. EDDY

Was Native of Story County and Died January 1.

Six cousins of the late Mrs. D. W. Eddy served as pall bearers and bore her body to its last resting place, in the Oak Hill cemetery, Sunday, January 4. They were Lee Sheckells, Claude Sheckells, Sidney Sheckells, Tim Sheckells, Ed Stebbins and W. J. Thomas.

The death of Mrs. Eddy occurred at the D. W. Eddy home near Iowa Falls, January 1 and the body was brought to Story county and the services conducted by her former pastor, Rev. M. A. Banker of Colo, at the Johnson Grove M. E. church, January 4, after which the body was laid to rest in the Oak Hill cemetery near the church.

Viola May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Thomas, was born near McCallsburg, Iowa, October 9, 1882, and died at the home of O. M. Eddy near Iowa Falls, Iowa, January 1, 1925, at the age of 42 years, 2 month and 22 days.

She moved with her parents to McCallsburg in 1892. On April 15, 1909, she was united in marriage to Dwight W. Eddy. To this union were born three children, Herbert Thomas, Russell William and Herman Leroy.

At the age of 15 years she accepted Jesus as her Savior and united with the Presbyterian church at McCallsburg. She transferred her membership to the Johnson Grove Methodist church in 1910, in which she was an active member until her death.

She was preceded to the great beyond by one brother and one sister, Jacob Leroy, who died in 1916, at the age of 29 years. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband and three children, her father and mother, four brothers, and one sister, Walter C., of Metonville, Iowa; William L., of Swaledale, Iowa; Charles S., of Nevada; Herman R., of Zearing and Hannah J., at home with her parents at Nevada. A large host of friends and neighbors also mourn the loss of this good neighbor and friend.
