Charles Marion Wright Buried at New Providence
Charles M. Wright, who passed away Sunday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. F. Shilling [should be Schilling], in this city was buried Wednesday afternoon to the cemetery at New Providence, after short services held by Rev. A. V. Hart of the Christian church of this city.
Charles Marion, son of Harriet Evalind* and William Frederick Wright, was born at Chatham, Medina county, Ohio Sept. 7, 1852. He departed this life Dec. 7, 1924 at the home of his daughter Mrs. A. F. Shilling [should be Schilling] of this city.
When a young child his parents moved to Wisconsin where he grew to manhood. At the age of twenty they removed to Hardin county where he later met and married Janetta F. Rogers on Feb. 14, 1875. After forty years of wedded life her death occurred March 6, 1915.
To this union was born six children two of whom preceded their father in death. Four children, Mrs. Agnes Hughes, Fred W., Mrs. Lola Shilling [should be Schilling] and Mrs. Nina E. Blair an aged sister, Mrs. Olive P. Frost, a brother W. F. Wright; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several other relatives and a host of friends mourn his death, which came as a rest from great suffering.
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: According to marriage and death records of her children, Harriet Wright's maiden name was Eveland, not Evalind as stated.
