FORMER ZEARING MAN DEAD.

R. J. Helson Passed Away at Clemons.

Zearing, Oct. 29--R. J. Helson, 73, former resident of this community, died at his home at Clemons Saturday evening of heart trouble. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Christian church at Clemons and was attended by many people of Zearing and vicinity. Interment was in the Clemons cemetery.

He was born at Sycamore, Ill., Sept. 12, 1851, and married Phoebe Richardson there Dec. 25, 1873. Mr. Helson moved with his family to Zearing thirty-four years ago and for many years lived in Story county.

He is survived by his widow and four children. They are Mrs. Carrie Shaw, Zearing; Mrs. Alice Marshall, Sycamore Ill.; Mrs. Ruby Lindquist, Laurel and Jay Helson, of Clemons. Four sisters and two brothers are living. They are Mrs. E. A. Shuey, Roseburg, Ore., Mrs. Nicholas Johnson and Mrs. Louis Seaman, Elgin, Ill., Mrs. Mary London and George and Thomas Helson of Sycamore, Ill.
