DEATH OF MRS. POOL

Pioneer Woman Passed Away Thursday Morning

Mrs. Nancy Pool, 80, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tom Fisher northwest of Nevada, Thursday morning at 6 o'clock, is one of the pioneers of this community having lived here since early in the 50s. The funeral services are to be held at the Fisher home this afternoon at 2:00 and interment will be in the Nevada cemetery. The services will be conducted by Rev. Ramige of the Evangelical church. She had been an invalid for some little time.

The deceased was born in Indiana March 14, 1844 and would have been 80 years of age within the next to weeks. She came with her people to Iowa and Story county in 1856. Her maiden name was Nancy Jackson and she was first married to Elzy Pool.

She leaves to mourn her death of her immediate family, the daughter Mrs. Tom Fisher and the four sons, W. H. Pool of Ames, Fremont Pool, James Pool of California and Roy of Boone, A. A. Jackson of Nevada, a brother.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The above obituary alludes to the fact that Nancy (Jackson) Pool married twice. She married (1) Elzy/Elza Pool on 22 December 1859 in Story County, Iowa and (2) Rheuben Perrigo/Parrigo on 20 October 1917 in Nevada, Story County, Iowa. Mr. Perrigo died 26 April 1922 in Pocahontas, Iowa.
