OBITUARY OF MRS. J. MYERS.

Other Items of Interest of Colo and Community.

Colo, Feb. 11--Mary Francis Lee was born July 11, 1871, near Cambridge. She was the oldest of a family of ten children. On Aug. 22, she was married to Jasper Myers, started a home on a farm near Cambridge. They continued to live in the vicinity of Cambridge until the year of 1911 when they moved to the Wilkins farm north of Colo. Mrs. Myers was the other of thirteen children, eleven of whom are living, two having preceded her in death, one dying in infancy and Stella May dying September, 1912 at the age of 15 years. Mrs. Myers departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 9:30 p. m. at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 2 days. She is survived by her eleven children, William of Gillee Grove, Iowa, Clinton, Roy, Jacob, Mrs. Myrtle Blackersby, Ray, Lorence, Ethel, Earl, Virgil and Doyle all of Colo, the six latter at home with the father, Jasper Myers southeast of town. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Sarah Lee of Cambridge and following brothers and sisters, Jacob Lee of Cambridge, Elizabeth Lex of Des Moines, Alice Riggs of Ames, Gertrude Scott of Maxwell, Wm. Lee of Forestberg, Dakota, Elick Lee of Cambridge. Mrs. Myers was a faithful member of the Evangelical church of Colo. She was always present at the regular meeting of the Sunday school and church when circumstances made it possible. She was an active member of the W. M. S. and enjoyed attending their meetings. She died triumphant in the faith of the Lord Jesus whom she loved and served. Mrs. Myers was of a quiet unassuming, she made many friends, she was a good and kind neighbor and leaves to mourn her loss a large number of friends and neighbors. She was a kind and considerate wife and thoughtful and painstaking mother always mindful of the needs and comforts of the members of her family. Kind and remembrance attend her departure but the separation need not be permanent. Mrs. Myers companion, mother, sister, daughter has gone to be with the Lord and await the glorious summons of the resurrection morning.
