Dr. Craig Died at His Home In Story City Today

Story City, Nov. 10--Funeral services for Dr. W. A. Craig, 47, Story county osteopath, member of the city council and director of the Chamber of Commerce, who died here early today, will be held Friday at Immanuel Lutheran church at 2:00, following prayer service at the home at 1:30.

Dr. Craig, a resident of Story City for over twenty years, was a native of Pennsylvania, where he was born 47 years ago on October 1.

He practiced in Pittsburgh for a time but came to Story City 20 years ago and had since lived here. He was married to Evelyn Valem and he leaves the wife and a son Bill, the later a student in the Story City high school. He also leaves his mother Mrs. W. Craig of Harrisville, Penn., and two brothers and two sisters, all residents of Pennsylvania.

A veteran of the World war he had been active in American Legion circles, as well as serving on the directorate of the Chamber of Commerce and on the city council. He was also active in the Masonic lodge.

He had retired from active practice of his profession about three years ago on account of his declining health. He had been bedfast for six months.

Funeral services will be in charge of Rev. T. T. Heimarck of Immanuel church and burial will be in the local cemetery.
