Funeral Services Held Sunday at Bethlehem Church

Special to the Journal:
Slater, Nov. 9--Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mickelson, 79, were held Sunday afternoon, at 1:30 at the home and 2 o'clock at the Bethlehem church. Miss Gladys Estrem sang a solo "In the Garden," at the home. The services were in charge of Rev. E. R. Rorem. The many beautiful floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Albert Lehman and Mrs. Harold Ersland. Mrs. M. S. Heggen sang a Norwegian solo "Den Store Hvide Vi Se." Two songs "Nearer My God to Thee" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by a mixed quartette composed of Misses Gladys Estrem and Norma Peterson and Homer Lewis and David Peterson.

The pall bearers were J. C. Erslad, Ole Frovick, Ole Storing, Martin Helland, Cyrus Sydness and Tom Skola of near Nevada. Various groups including the Ladies Aid, gave sums of money to the missions in her memory. Burial was made in the Bethlehem cemetery.

Anna Fronsdahl was born May 5, 1858 in Olen, Norway, and died at her home near Slater, Nov. 4 at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 29 days. Her parents were Elias and Gunda Fronsdahl. She came to America with her parents, when she was 11 years old and they made their home in Palestine township. She was confirmed in the Palestine church. Her marriage to Knut Mickelson took place in 1883. Four children were born to this union, one passed away in his youth. Her husband die 43 years ago. She was a member of the Bethlehem church and Ladies Aid. She was always interested in the work of the church; a faithful friend and a devoted mother. She is survived by her three children, Mikel and Miss Semelia at home and Eli north of Slater also a number of relatives and friends.
