CHARLES WEBB
ZEARING--Funeral services for Charles Webb were held at the Christian church in Zearing April 20, 1959, with the Rev. John Bartlett officiating. Interment was in the Colo cemetery.
Casket bearers were Paul Wheelock, John Roche, Herbert Eddy, Ernie Schuler, Thomas Handsaker and Steve Chance. Mrs. Delos Dakins accompanied the quartet, Dale Johnson, Eldon Crain, Gordon Lundy and Max McBride.
Flowers were cared for by Mrs. George Herr and Mrs. Walter Dale.
Life Sketch
Charles Webb, son of William and Nancy Jane Cowen Webb was born near Sullivan, Ill., Dec. 28, 1876 and died April 17, 1959 at his home southwest of Zearing. He was a member of the Christian church in Zearing.
Webb is survived by three sons and two daughters, Earl of Nevada, Clifford of Colo, Wilbur, Edna and Mrs. George Jones of Ames; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Also two brothers, John and Clyde of Alta Vista, Iowa; seven sisters Minnie Stevens, Nevada, Dora McCollum, Eunice McCollum, Lola Mains and Blanche Shultz, Colo, Mary Smith, Cedar Rapids and Grace Crippen, Des Moines, several nieces and nephews.
His wife, one son, who died in infancy, and two brothers, father and mother preceded him in death.
