Bert Bloomberg Died Early Today at His Home Here

Bert E. Bloomberg, 36, died at his home 404 J avenue, early today after an illness covering a period of nearly five months, over four months of which time he had been confined to his bed. Cancer was the cause of death.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:0 at the Evangelical church and burial will be in the Nevada cemetery by the side of a baby boy who died several years ago.

The deceased was a son of John and Ida Bloomberg, born at Sycamore, Illinois, October 15, 1901, lacking but six days of being 36 years of age at the time of his death.

The family came to Story county 25 years ago the first of March and this had been his home since.

He was married to Miss Blanche Peterson of Nevada and two children have been born to them. One son died a number of years ago and he leaves his wife and daughter, Geraldine, 8, in his immediate family.

He also leaves his parents and two brothers, Harold and George Bloomberg.

He spent a number of years working on farms or farming for himself but for the past five years had lived in Nevada and had for some time been employed at the Lapp Laboratories feed plant when he was taken ill.

He was a member of the Evangelical church and was well-respected and highly regarded as a young man of fine character, and his death will not only be deeply mourned by the members of the family, but by a wide circle of friends.
