Frank Norton Died at Zearing Early Today

Zearing, April 3--Frank Norton, 50, prominent resident of the Zearing community died rather suddenly at his home here early today.He had been a sufferer from diabetes and other complications several years, but he had been confined to his bed only since Thursday. He passed away at 1:15 this morning.
Born at Earlville, Illinois, May 26, 1886, he came to Iowa with the family when he was a lad of five years and his home had been in this locality much of the time since. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Norton.
He established his home at Anita, for a time, where he lived until the death of his father in 1924, when he returned to Zearing and made his home with his mother.
He leaves beside his aged mother, two brothers, Freeman Norton of Dundee, Minn. and Raymond Norton of West Bend and a sister Mrs. Lura Mae Wessman of Oskaloosa.
During the more active years of his life he worked as a painter but of later years head driven a school but, and served the community as a member of the town council, city assessor, bookkeeper at the city waterworks and had held other positions of public trust.
Funeral arrangements are yet undetermined pending word from relatives but will probably be held Monday afternoon at the Evangelical church in Zearing.
