A. J. Anfinson Died Suddenly Wednesday Eve

A. J. Anfinson, 71, died very suddenly from a heart attack last night at 11:30, just after arriving at the home of his son Omer and family, on the west side of Seventh street, in apartments in the Brooks home, where he had been making his home.

Hearing the father fall after entering his room, the son rushed to his side and raised him from the floor to his bed, as the daughter-in-law called a doctor. He was dead within a few minutes.

He had spent the evening up town in his usual heath and had made no complaint of not feeling well.

Funeral arrangements have not been made, awaiting word from the children, many of whom are living at a distance.

Mr. Anfinson, father of fourteen children, leaves nine sons and two daughters living.

They are Birdie, now Mrs. Anton Bundy [should be Bunde] of Hayti, S. D.; Belle, now Mrs. Ole K. Lee of Alden, Minn.; Clarence and Raymond of Hayti, S. D.; Martin of Fort Worth, Texas; Arnold of Burbank, Calif.; and Alfred, Omer and Leonard of Nevada. Three children died in infancy.

Mr. Anfinson was born in Norway, Europe, June 4, seventy-two years ago this year, and came to America with his parents when a lad a year old.

The family settled near Huxley in Palestine township, and there he grew to manhood and was married to Miss Anna Heggen. They continued to make their home in that vicinity until 1909 when they moved to South Dakota, where they lived until 1913, when they moved back to Story county and settled on a farm just west of Nevada, shortly afterwards moving into town and this has been his home since.

He was baptized in and for many years was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church, but of more recent years had accepted the Seventhday Adventist faith.
