Ingebrit Eggland* Died Last Evening

Ingebrit Eggland*, 75, longtime resident of the Roland and Story City communities, died last evening at the Story county home after an illness of some duration.

The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Salem church, Roland, with Rev. Olaf Holen in charge.

Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.

The deceased was the father of Mrs. Theodore Thompson of 1137 Ninth street.

Ingebrit Eggland was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Eggland and was born at Lisbon, Illinois, July 11, 1862.

He came with his parents to Story county when a boy and the family home was south of Roland.

He was united in marriage to Miss Millie Hanson of Story City at St. Petri church in Story City July 2, 1889. They are survived by three daughters, Mrs. O. T. Weeks of Zearing, Mrs. T. M. Thompson of Nevada and Mrs. H. E. Lura of near Roland. A brother, Osmund Eggland lives at Roland and Ed Eggland is deceased. Surviving sisters are Mrs. J. T. Anderson of Des Moines and Mrs. Mary Erickson and Mrs. Olena Onstein of Roland. One sister, Mrs. Ceceia Barkka of Canada is deceased.

The family had lived in Story county with the exception of the period from 1891 to 1894 when they lived in northern Minnesota.
