OBITUARY

MRS. W. B. KLUMP

Mrs. W. B. Klump of this city died early Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Handsaker, just northwest of town, after a very brief illness. She participated in a family picnic on Sunday and was up town Monday evening. During Monday night, however, she was taken ill with an attack of gall-stones and she was taken Tuesday morning out to the Handsaker home, where it seemed that she would be relieved of household cares and would recuperate most easily. She failed, however, to make material improvement, and Thursday forenoon she was taken suddenly and critically worse, her death following before Mr. Klump, who had just come in from his mail route, could be gotten over to the Handsaker place with powerful automobile.

Mrs. Klump was born Laura J. Dewey and was a native of New York state, being at her death about 67 years of age. Her early married life was spent in Delaware; but Mr. Klump and herself moved westward, and the most of their life has been spent in Iowa. They came to Nevada from Marshall county something like fifteen years ago and have resided here since, Mr. Klump having for several years been the carrier on one of the local mail routes. Mrs. Klump is survive by her husband and six children, of whom the eldest son, Arthur, lives in California and two married daughter in Albany, New York, and in Marshall county. The three children who have been and are familiarly known here are C. E., who now resides at Blue Earth, Minn., and the youngest daughters, Bessie and Nona, now Mrs. Vern Proctor of Fernald and Mrs. Chas. Handsaker of Nevada. She was a woman of undoubted personal worth, and her death is a shock to family and friends.

The funeral will be conducted Sunday at two o'clock from the Handsaker home by Rev. Shirck.
