Roy L. Hansen 81, of Ames died of a heart ailment Saturday at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Christian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Born in Ames, Mr. Hansen was a lifelong resident of Story County. He retired from the Iowa State University Athletic Department and was a member of National Flying Farmers.

Survivors include his wife, Roselma; a son, David of Ames; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. until service time at his church. Memorial contributions may be made to the cardiology department at Mary Greeley Medical Center.
