Jack Elliott Dies Suddenly at Home In Ames

Ames, Dec. 26--Funeral services for J. M. "Jack" Ellitt, 51, longtime resident of Ames, who died at his home here Friday night, were held at the Adams Funeral chapel today at 2 p. m., with Rev. John Rigg of the United Brethren church in charge and burial was in the Ames cemetery.

Mr. Elliott, apparently in good health, had been at his place of business during the day, but succumbed to a heart attack at his home at 217 South Duff.

Born March 9, 1888 at Fairview, S. D., Mr. Elliott lived most of his life in Ames. He had operate the used car lot on South Duff for a number of years.

He married Mable Sills, Jan. 3, 1912, at Boone. Surviving are his wife, a son, John Frederick of Ames, a daughter, Margaret Dale of Ames; a brother, William Elliott of Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Ragsdale of Ames.
