Pioneer Woman Dies Early Today at Home In Maxwell

Maxwell, Oct. 30--Mrs. Henry Tomlinson, 81, one of the pioneer women of this part of the county, died at her hoe here at 1 a.m. today and the funeral rites will be held at the Church of Christ in Maxwell Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the pastor Rev. C. A. Neel in charge. Burial will be in the Peoria cemetery.Her maiden name was Thatcher and she came with her parent from Valpariso, Indiana, when a small girl. The family settle in the Corey Grove neighborhood in Polk county.
She leaves her husband to whom she would have been married 60 years in December; sons George G. of Boone, Harve H. and Alonzo of Maxwell; a daughter Mrs. Ethel Pring of Maxwell, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She also leaves a brother J. F. Thatcher and sister Mrs. Minnie Shaffer, both of Des Moines.
