Chris Reingardt Died Last Night; Funeral Friday

State Center, Sept. 20--Christian Henry Reingardt, 88, longtime resident of this county, died at 9:40 last evening, at the home of his daughter Mrs. Ed Henneman in State Center, death being due to uremic poisoning.

Mr. Reingardt was for many years a farmer south of Colo, before retiring and locating in State Center in 1907 but had lived with his daughter for about two and a half years.

Mr. Reingardt was a native of Hanover, Germany, where he was born September 5, 1851. He came with his parents to America when a lad of six years, the family settling at Yorksville, Illinois. There he grew to manhood and was united in marriage to Caroline Doeries, at Aurora, Illinois, October 28, 1874.

They came out to Iowa in 1895 and located on a farm southeast of Colo, where they lived until retiring and moving to State Center in 1907. Here the wife died September 28, 1928.

They leave ten children.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the Brimhall-West funeral home here. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery. Rev. H. P. Kumpf, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church will be in charge.
