Mrs. Ellen Lura Died at Home in Roland Friday

Roland, June 17--INS--Mrs. Ellen Lura, 83, died at her home here Friday at 8:15 p.m. following an illness of about six weeks.

The time is yet undetermined awaiting word from the children who are expected here for the services.

Her maiden name was Olen Olna Nelson and she was born in La Salle county, Illinois, October 7, 1866, a daughter of Olias and Inga Nelson. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1874 when the family home was established on a farm near Roland. She was united in marriage March 16, 1877 to Halvor Lura and they lived in this community and raised their large family of children.

Mr. Lura died July 30, 1917 and one of their children died in infancy. She is survived by a son Eli Lura at Grafton, N. D., daughters Nettie Loomis of Table Rock, Neb., and Edna of Hot Springs, Ark.; son Victor of Gilbert, Ia.; and Inga, Bertram, Harriette, Harvey and Mrs. Cora Page, all of Roland. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
