Emerson Funeral Saturday Afternoon

Funeral rites for Fred Emerson, 69, who died at his home southwest of here Wednesday at 11:45 a.m., will be held Saturday, with a prayer service at the home at 1:30 and the funeral at the United Brethren church in Shipley at 2:30. Rev. Hobson of Cambridge, pastor of the Shipley church, will be in charge. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. Mr. Emerson, born north of Ames in Story county 69 years ago last March 5, has lived in Story county all of his life.

Fred Emerson, aged 69, was a life time resident of Story county died Wednesday at his home southwest of Shipley after an illness of several weeks. He is survived by his wife and three children: Mrs. Elva Adamson of Pleasantville, Mrs. Nora Evans of Nevada and Glen Emerson of Ames, route 2. Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He also leaves one brother Myron Emerson of Oklahoma City, Okla.
