Nevada Pioneer Dead

Nevada, Ia., Jan 9. Special: Mrs. S.E. Briggs, one of the pioneers of Nevada, who has been living in California for some time, died there on Sunday. The body reached here for interment today. Mrs. Briggs was the wife of the late Samuel Briggs, who died in this city several years ago. He was the pioneer druggist of. The city. She is survived by three sons and two daughters, John Briggs of Orange, Calif.: George F. Briggs of Los Angeles, and Prof. Fletcher Briggs of Iowa State College: Mrs. Abby Withey of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Letta McCall of Los Angeles.
