Sudden Death of Mrs. Wilson, Colo Postmistress

Special to the Journal:
Colo, Jan. 22--Colo people were shocked early Sunday morning when they learned of the sudden death at the Deaconess hospital Saturday night at 11 o'clock, of Mary McCoy Wilson, 51, native daughter and popular postmistress of Colo.

Mrs. Wilson was taken suddenly ill on Thursday and Friday was taken to the hospital where she submitted to an operation for a perforated gastric ulcer. She was given blood transfusions but gradually grew worse and passed away at 11 p.m.

Funeral services will be heard at St. Mary's church, here Tuesday morning at 9:30 and burial will be in Colo.

He husband, the late Ross Wilson, died about ten years ago.

A daughter of the late James McCoy, and his wife Sarah, she was born here, attended the local schools from which she graduated and taught school for a number of years before her marriage to Ross Wilson.

She leaves three daughters and one son. They are Helen, now a nurse in a children's hospital at Dallas Texas; Harriett of Chicago; Hazel, now a dietician at Columbia, Mo. and James, a student at Iowa State college. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Sarah McCoy and brother Marti R. McCoy, both of Colo.
