Obituary
Mrs. Ole Thorsness

SLATER -- Funeral services were conducted here Mondy afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church for Mrs. Ole Thorsness, 84, who died here Feb. 18.

Mrs. Thorsness was born in Ilsvaag, Vikedahl, Norway, Oct. 24, 1871. She was the daughter of Aamond and Martha Ible.

She came to America in May 1893 and was married to Ole Thorsness, Dec. 29, 1904. Their home had been on a farm near Slater until they retired and moved into a new home here in 1952.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers John and Nels O. and infant brother.

Mrs. Thorness is survived by her husband; a foster daughter, Mrs. Frederick Peel of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Josie Houge of Superior, Ia.; a bother, Owen of Emmetsburg, Ia.; and brothers Erick and Nels of Slater.

The deceased was member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid.

Mr. and Mrs. Thorsness celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Dec. 29, 1954.
