Frank C. Hill Funeral Services Held In Maxwell

Frank Chester Hill was the third son born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hill near Farrar, Iowa on December 1, 1901.

When he was two years old his parents moved to Stephens, Mo. where they lived for 18 years. As a young man he came back to Iowa and worked in the Farrar and Maxwell communities.

Hill was married on October 12, 1929 to Miss Louise Warfield of Maxwell and their home was blessed with two sons, Murray Franklin Hill of Denver, Colo. and Charles Clifton Hill of Nevada. His wife and sons have always lived in the Maxwell area. Since his last surgery in January of this years he has been in failing health but had continued to work of the farm. On Monday, September 10th he died at his home.

Survivors are his wife, Louise; his children, Murray, Clifton and Marilyn and granddaughter, Teresa, his brother, Carl of Maxwell; and three sisters, Mrs. Wilfred Sweitzer and Mrs. Dave Price of Columbia, Mo. and Mrs. Madison Shryock of Nevada.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hill and a brother, Albert.

Hill was a member of the Maxwell Methodist Church.

Funeral Services

Funeral services were September 13 at the Maxwell Methodist Church with the Rev. J. E. McClellan officiating. Mrs. James Summitt played "Abide With Me" as an organ solo after the scripture was read.

The beautiful floral offerings were cared for by Mrs. Dan Peters, Mrs. Clarence Godby and Mrs. Wendel Erickson.

Casket bearers were Clarence Godby, M. E. Haley, George Cook, C. F. Pierce, Jack Viers and Robert Kirk.

Interment was in the Iowa Center cemetery

A memorial fund will be established in memory of the many gifts that have been received.

Guests from out of town attending the services were from Denver, Colo., Columbia and Mexico, Mo., from Hazelton, Greenfield, Des Moines, Mitchellville, State Center, Newton, Farrar, Mingo, Marshalltown, Nevada, Collins, Colo and Cambridge.
