Wherry Funeral Wednesday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Wherry, 69, who died at her home in Fernald Monday afternoon at 1:30 will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Fernald, Wednesday afternoon at 2:00, conducted by Rev. J. O. Simon, followed by interment in the Nevada cemetery.

Mary Ann Mitchell was born Sept. 26, 1861, at Monmouth, Jackson county, Iowa. She departed this life at her home in Fernald, Monday, Jan. 26, 1931, aged 69 years and 4 months.

She grew up to womanhood at the place of her birth and was united in marriage to George Luther Wherry on Dec. 27, 1882.

To this union were born two children, Mabel B., now Mrs. Ira Vail of Fernald, and Clarence H. who passed away April 20, 1927. Mr. Wherry passed away May 8, 1921.

Mrs. Wherry united with the Lutheran Church in her early life and has been a constant and faithful member of the same church until her death.

She leaves to mourn her passing the only daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Vail and their son Luther; one granddaughter, Geraldine Wherry with her mother Mrs. Alice Wherry of Sycamore, Ill. Also four brothers and one sister and numerous other relatives and friends.
