Funeral of Mrs. Young Held Here Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. George Young, who died at her home on G avenue Sunday were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge. Miss Florence McDaniels assisted in the service with songs. Interment was in the family lot in Center Grove cemetery south of the city. The services were held at the home.

Sarah Chamnes was born at Savannah, Mo., August 17, 1859 and died at her home in Nevada September 15, 1929, age 70 years and 28 days.

She was united in marriage to George Young at Savannah December 9, 1881. They continued their home in Missouri for twelve years after which they came to Iowa and have lived in or near Nevada since.

Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Young but five of the have died. Those surviving are Mrs. Alice Hines of Nevada, Mrs. Virgil Eyanson of Nevada, Mrs. Inez Samson of Homer, Ill., and Mrs. Belle Stoops of Ames and the one son Clarence Young of Nevada.

Besides these children and her husband she leaves 34 grand children and nine great grandchildren, besides a host of friends.
