AGED WOMAN WAS CALLED BY DEATH

MRS. MARY COOK* DIED AT HOME OF SON BERT ON SECOND STREET

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Cook*, 81, who died at the home of her son Bert Cook* on Second street Monday afternoon, will be held at the Bishop Funeral Home Wednesday at 2:30 after which the body will be taken to Ames for interment by the side of her husband who died in 1925.

Mrs. Cook* died from a complication of trouble from which she had been suffering for some time.

Mrs. Cook* was born in Illinois December 6, 1851. There she was married and raised her family of eight children. With her husband and other members of the family she came out to Iowa in 1919 and located for a time on a farm south of Ames. Later, after the death of her husband, she came to Nevada with the family of her son Bert.

She had been blind for a number of years and was little known outside of the family circles.

She leaves eight children, 35 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be in charge of Rev. LeRoy Kinser, pastor of the Nevada Church of Christ.
