MRS. FRED CERKA DEAD AT COLO

HAD LIVED IN STORY COUNTY MANY YEARS--FUNERAL FRIDAY

Special to the Journal.
Colo, Sept. 29--Mrs. Fred Cerka, 60, died at home here Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 after an illness of a week.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon. There will be a prayer service at the home at 2:00, followed by a funeral at the Evangelical church at 2:30 in charge of the pastor, Rev. Thompson. Interment will be in the Colo cemetery.

Mrs. Cerka, whose maiden name was Bessie Worral, was born at Earlville, Ill., a daughter of George and Melissa Worral, on August 26, 1872. She was married to Fred Cerka at Stanwood, Iowa, March 7, 1892.

Four children were born to this union. They are John of Davenport, Earl of Chicago, Ray of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Jackson of Rhodes.

Besides these children and her husband, she leaves her mother who is now at the Soldier's Home, Marshalltown; sisters Mrs. Henry Pritchard of Colo, Mrs. Nancy Richardson and Mrs. Henry Cosgrove of Cedar Rapids; brothers Bert and Oliver Worral of Marshalltown, a sister, Mrs. Vasey, a brother Boyd Worral of Minnesota, sister Mrs. Alfred Lester of South Dakota, sister of Mrs. John Buffington, sister Mrs. Dorothy Jeanette of Detroit and three grandchildren.
