LIFELESS BODY OF HENRY BLANEY FOUND HANGING IN CORN CRIB

Special to the Journal.
Zearing, Feb. 26--Henry Blaney, 70, longtime and respected citizen of this community suicided at his farm northeast of Zearing this morning about 8:00, when his lifeless body was found suspended by a halter-rope from a rafter in a crib at his farm 4 1/2 miles northeast of Zearing.

Financial worries were ascribed as the cause of his taking his own life. Mr. Blaney was a man well known and very highly respected.

He was united in marriage to Annie Evans at Wellington, Ill., June 25, 1896 and to them ten children were born. Three of these died in infancy and seven with the mother survive the father. Those who are left to mourn him, are Thomas of Clemons; John of Pontiac, Ill.; Ambrose of New Providence; Mrs. Margaret Johnston of Blue Earth, Minn.; Harry, Mae and Evelyn, at home.

He also leaves a brother John Blaney and sister Mrs. Lee Scott, both of Zearing.

Mr. Blaney was raised in the Presbyterian faith in the old country, but after coming to this country affiliated with the Friends church and always continued in that faith.
