W. R. WICKHAM DIED SUDDENLY TODAY

PIONEER RESIDENT OF THE ZEARING NEIGHBORHOOD CALLED BY DEATH

Special to the Journal.
Zearing, July 18--William R. Wickham, 67, died very suddenly at his home here at 12:30 a. m. today, after an illness of about three weeks.

The deceased was one of the family of fifteen children of H. C. and Pauline Wickham, pioneer day residents of Zearing.

He was married May 22, 1895 to Phoebe Phillips and she with the son Howard and three grandchildren survive him, as well as several brothers and sisters.

He armed until 1918 when they moved into Zearing and he had since worked as a carpenter.

The brothers and sisters surviving are Mrs. Mary Adams, Mrs. Lydia Arrasmith, Mrs. Jennie Phillips, Mrs. Lulu Cerka and Charles Wickham all of the Zearing neighborhood; Mrs. Eliza Bunker of Edinburgh, Texas, Miss Anna Wickham of Nevada, Cornell Wickham of Floyd, Va., and John Eau Garlie, Florida.

The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the Evangelical church, Zearing with Rev. C. A. Claypool in charge.
