Funeral Services for J. H. Handsaker

Funeral services for the late J. H. Handsaker, native son of Story county, who passed away at his home near Fernald on Monday morning at the age of 64 years and 6 days, were held from the home on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with Dr. J. O. Simon in charge of the services.

The large concourse of relatives and friends who attended the services at the home and made up the funeral cortege to the Nevada cemetery where the interment was held, testified to the respect and esteem in which the deceased was held in the community.

Mrs. Howard Handsaker and Mrs. Lee Cook sang during the funeral service.

Joshua Harvey Handsaker was born one half mile south of Fernald Oct. 1, 1871, a son of Wm. H. and Emily Handsaker.
