HERBERT COUSER DIED THURSDAY

FORMER ZEARING MAN TO BE BROUGHT TO ZEARING FOR BURIAL

Special to the Journal:
Zearing, Oct. 7--The body of Herbert H. Couser, 54, arrived in Zearing today from Litchfield, Minn., where he had died on Thursday.

It was taken to the Brouhard Funeral home, where it will remain until Tuesday morning and then to the home of the mother, Mrs. J. B. Couser, until time for the funeral services to be held at the Evangelical church Tuesday afternoon.

A brother, Arthur B. Couser and wife and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ray Keopple were with the family at the time of death.

Funeral services were held at Litchfield Methodist church Sunday afternoon.

He leaves his wife; a son, Adrian Couser, wife and daughter, Elaine; his aged mother, Mrs. J. B. Couser of Zearing and brothers, Arthur P. Couser and Thomas G. Couser of Zearing.

The deceased was born near Zearing and lived here until manhood. The family left first for Litchfield about 20 years ago, but returned here for a time while Mr. Couser was employed in a local bank. They went back to Litchfield 11 years ago. He farmed near there until a year ago when he was compelled to retire because of ill health.
