Funeral Services On Thursday For William Mathews

Funeral services for William J. Mathews, R. 2, Ames will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon at 1 p. m. with Elder Charles Lehman officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery at Iowa Center, Iowa.

Mr. Mathews died Monday at 1 p. m. at his home, the victim of a heart attack. He was 67 years of age and had lived his entire life in Story County. Born July 18, 1897, the son of Williams and Rosa Mathews, he was married on June 10, 1934 to Elsie Badger.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; one son, Ronald of Ames; three granddaughters, five grandsons and one sister, Mrs. Roby Matters of Ames. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
