THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, November 12, 1925, Page 1, Column 5. "BRICK GLASCOW – Brick Glasgow, son of David and Clista Glasgow, was born near Iowa Center, Iowa, July 5, 1878, and died at his home on the M. R. Dunahoo farm, four miles northeast of Maxwell, Sunday, November 1, 1925, at the age of forty-seven yeas, three months and twenty-six days. He grew to manhood in the Iowa Center community and on December 18, 1901, was united in marriage to Miss Florence Kitchen. To this union were born eight children, two dying in infancy. His untimely death is mourned by his widow, six children, Major, Lola, Lester, Elva, Ina Belle and LeRoy; his aged mother, Mrs. Clista Glasgow, of near Iowa Center; four brothers, Nat, of California; William, of Cambridge; Ernest L., of Maxwell, and Mark, of Marshalltown; five sisters, Mrs. John Doggett, Mrs. J. F. Dunahoo, Mrs. Clayton Dunahoo, Mrs. Geo. Moore, and Mrs. Lee Hall, all of near Maxwell. Mr. Glasgow had lived his entire life, with the exception of a few yeas near Colo, Iowa, in the Iowa Center community, where he was well and favorably known, being a man of many fine qualities. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Evangelical church at Iowa Center, conducted by Rev. C. E. Lookingbill, of Nevada, assisted by the resident pastor, Rev. J. L. Armold. Interment was made in the Iowa Center cemetery.
