THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 1, 1971, page 1, column 1. "MRS. HAZEL YOUNG. - Mrs. Hazel M. Young, 79, passed away Saturday, June 26, at the Story County Hospital. Mrs. Young had not been well for some time with a heart condition. She is survived by her son, Ardine Young of Omaha, Nebr. And one daughter, Virginia Kahl of Columbia, Mo.; also five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Vera Hostetler of Maxwell and Gladys Olinger of Nevada and one brother, Harlan Witmer. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 29, at 1:30 p.m., in the Cooper Funeral Home, with Rev. Dale Ellsworth officiating. Miss Lori Eatwell furnished the organ music. The floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Gladys Peters and Mrs. Josephine Ray. Casket bearers were Art Fish, Eldon Pearson, Marold Witmer, V. O. Ray, Dick Green and Forest Scott. Interment was in the Maxwell Cemetery."
