THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, June 24, 2005.

Loretta D. Vogt, 95, of Des Moines, died Thursday, June 23. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Bishop Drumm in Johnston. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Loretta was a North High School Alumni Association member and an active member in the St. Cecelia Rosary Society in Ames. She spent 60 years in Ames but lived the last 10 years in Johnston. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and along with her husband, was a Chicago Cubs and Iowa State Cyclones fan.

She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Marv) Berry of Des Moines and Carol (Mike) McKinney of Richardson, Texas; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Vogt, in 1994.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bishop Drumm Foundation or Mercy Hospice.
